MARRIED at First Sight UK's Huddersfield star Joe Wood has opened up on his exit as he admitted "I've made mistakes".

The 31-year-old personal trainer tied the knot with 29-year-old aesthetics practitioner Maeve Mathieson at the start of the show, and they seemed to hit it off.

The couple even went on to declare their love for one another during a commitment ceremony, but their journey soon took a sour turn.

Last week, Joe revealed to fellow groom Ashley Dommett that he wasn't sure about his feelings for Maeve.

Maeve was then left questioning their marriage when Joe left her alone to spend time with his family after the death of his grandfather, reports OK!

After a week of no contact, Joe arrived at the couple's retreat, where he was greeted by a furious Maeve.
