Murder trial for Londoner accused of throwing acid that led to city man's death

A MAN accused of throwing acid over Danny Cahalane causing him injuries which later led to his death is to face trial later this year.

Kelvin Asante, of Eresby Place, London, is accused of the murder of Danny Cahalane (pictured right).
Mr Cahalane died on May 3, 2025, as a result of injuries he suffered during an incident at the front door of his home in Lipson Road, at around 3.55am on Friday, February 21, 2025.
It is understood that he had a form of sulphuric acid thrown at him after he opened the door while his young daughter was asleep upstairs.
