Member of drugs gang fails to pay courts £222k

A KEY member of a drugs gang which flooded Teesside with heroin has failed to pay £222,000 to the courts.

Christopher Walker, who is known as “Bunny” because of the “shape of his teeth, has missed a June deadline to return £222,516.

Financial investigators found that he made £345,314 from his role in the drugs network in 2011 to 2012 - which saw him drive around in a red Ferrari.

But a proceeds of crime investigation could only trace £222,516 worth of available assets to pay back.

Working with drugs kingpins based in Manchester and Liverpool, the gang transported industrial quantities of heroin over to Teesside, in multiple daily trips.

Lancastrian Walker, 37, moved to Ingleby Barwick to run the drugs operation. He worked and socialised with organised crime groups on Teesside - including Robert Hickman.
