WOMAN FOUND GUILTY ON CAUSING BIKER'S DEATH BY CARELESS DRIVING
A WOMAN has been found not guilty of causing death by dangerous driving after a crash resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
Dax Jones, 51, died in a crash on the A19 southbound at the Ingleby Arncliffe junction on June 15, 2022.
Following the fatal collision, Eleanor Wilson, 23, was charged with causing his death by dangerous driving and has been standing trial at Teesside Crown Court.
The driver, who has a clean licence, pulled out of the Ingleby Arncliffe junction in her blue Ford Ka at around 8am.
The biker went into the side of the Ford Ka. Statements from drivers who stopped to help were read out to the jury on Tuesday.
Graham Watson, who was driving to Northallerton in a works van, said: “The light blue car tried to cross both lanes southbound.
