RELEGATED IPSWICH REPORTEDLY READY TO LET MORSY LEAVE

- By CRAIG JOHNS

FORMER Boro favourite Sam Morsy could be set to leave Ipswich Town this summer.

The Tractor Boys are reportedly willing to let their club captain go, with suggestions that they will even allow him to leave on a free.

Morsy joined Ipswich from Boro in the summer of 2021 despite establishing himself as a favourite on Teesside.

He enjoyed a meteoric rise as Tractor Boys captain, with Kieran McKenna’s side enjoying back-toback promotions from League One to the Premier League.

However, as part of Ipswich’s summer overhaul following their relegation from the top flight, teamTalk claim Egypt international Morsy has an offer in the Middle East that interests him.

Despite having one year remaining on his current contract, Ipswich are said to be willing to allow him leave for free to explore the option.
