Burglar seen on CCTV wearing her victim's coat and clothes

A CAREER criminal was caught when she was captured on CCTV in a garage, wearing another woman's clothes and using a stolen credit card.

Nicola Leonard, 43, was dressed in the clothes of a woman whose Saltburn home was burgled hours earlier.

Leonard walked into a garage in Marske and used banks cards belonging to a second woman who was dog-sitting in the burgled home, on April 14.

Teesside Crown Court has heard that the second victim realised her purse was missing from her handbag, and when she checked her banking app, she saw her card was being used at Marske services and at Lord Street Store in Redcar.

A carrier bag containing her blood pressure medication was also gone from her friend’s home.

On Wednesday, Jenny Haigh, prosecuting, said that Marske service station sent the victim a CCTV image of the woman who had used her bank cards.
