A tale of two bosses as Boro hit the heights

MIDDLESBROUGH’'S dream start to the new season continued as they beat Sheffield United 1-0 at the Riverside.

The Blades have many problems right now and were far from the side that collected 90 points last season - albeit many of the players who achieved that feat remain.

This was Boro's most accomplished overall performance of the season so far, and though the goals didn’t come, they'd have been good value to have won by more.

Not only is it a great start for Boro, it's an important start for new head coach Rob Edwards.

It was hard not to draw comparisons with his opposite number Ruben Selles and imagine how the Boro boss could so easily have been in a similar position himself as we hit the first international break.

As Selles heard his fans chant for his head - and for previous boss Chris Wilder’s return - Edwards once again enjoyed the jubilation of full-time celebrations at the Riverside, as a real good feel grows on Teesside.
