To begin, I extend my warmest wishes to all our readers for a happy, prosperous, and healthy new year.
The year 2025 presented us with significant challenges due to natural calamities; however, we demonstrated resilience in overcoming these obstacles. As we approach the coming year, we are well prepared to address any forthcoming challenges.***
2025 was also a very tumultuous year in the area of U.S. immigration. With the return of Pres. Donald Trump, there was a renewed and more forcefill push to implement tough immigration policies. It comes as no surprise as he made immigration as one of his cornerstone campaign promises capitalizing on the surge of immigrants during the Biden administration, effectively labeling it as "invasion". It did not help that the US saw a rise of drug smuggling and criminal activities linked to immigrant gangs and cartels.
Here are some of the major immigration initiatives implemented by the Trump administration in 2025:
