'The Story of Pam' movie under way

A biographical film chronicling the life and political rise of incoming Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro is in the pipeline, with a working title, “The Story of Pam.”

In a press conference yesterday, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio said that the production aims to present an inspiring narrative of the new governor's personal journey and her rise to public service as one of Cebu’s most talked-about political figures.
Topacio said that veteran actress Alice Dixson has been cast to play the lead role as Baricuatro, while Gabby Concepcion will portray as her partner, Brian To. Isabel Rivas is also being considered for the role of outgoing Governor Gwendolyn Garcia.
Topacio, who also serves as Baricuatro’s legal counsel in her ongoing disqualification case, has taken on the role as the film's executive producer.
When asked why he decided to make a movie for the incoming governor, Topacio shared the remarkable personal journey of Baricuatro, framing her rise to power as a compelling story of resilience, humility, and women empowerment.
