DOT partners with Philippine Star, other media outlets

The Department of Tourism (DOT) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Philippine STAR and eight other media organizations to serve as information dissemination partners for the Philippines' hosting of the 45th ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) in January 2026.

The other media partners are BusinessMirror, Daily Tribune, Inquirer Interactive Inc., Manila Standard, Manila Bulletin, The Manila Times, Malaya Business Insights, and multi-platform broadcaster Cignal TV, which will provide free airtime for tourism promotions.
Under the partnership, the participating media outlets will extend promotional support and editorial coverage to DOT initiatives, helping boost the visibility of tourism events and flagship programs in the lead-up to ATF 2026.
The ATF is a cooperative regional initiative aimed at promoting Southeast Asia as a single tourism destination. The annual event brings together stakeholders from the tourism industry across the 11 ASEAN member states: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam.
