Yamuna swells, Delhi on flood alert; CM says 'situation under control'

Amid mounting concerns over rising water levels in the Yamuna, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Monday reassured Delhiites that the government is "fully equipped" to deal with any flood-like situation.
The assurance came as authorities confirmed that over nine lakh cusecs of water had been released from Haryana's Hathnikund Barrage, expected to reach the Capital between 5 pm and 8 pm on Tuesday, raising the river above the danger mark of 205.33 metres.
