Miley injured while on duty for England

NEWCASTLE United midfielder Lewis Miley has withdrawn from the England Under-21 squad with what is believed to be a minor calf injury.

The 19-year-old had been called up by manager Lee Carsley for the Young Lions European Championship qualifiers against Moldova and Andorra but returned to Newcastle ahead of yesterday’s game in Chisinau.
Carsley’s side won 4-0 last night to make it two wins from two in qualifying for the 2027 tournament.
