Home comforts for Toti training in the Algarve

WOLVES' new leader Toti is relishing being back on home soil in Portugal for preseason training.

The club are based in the Algarve for their warm weather training camp and for local boy Toti, it's a taste of home, having spent his summer nearby.

The defender captained the side on their last Premier League game at Crystal Palace - the first time he'd taken the armband - and being more of a senior figure is an honour for the 26-year-old.

"(Preseason) is going well," said Toti. "It started in Wolverhampton, the first days, the medical tests and everything. It went well.

“We are building up slowly, waiting for everybody to be in the group. Most of the rest of the group met us here in Portugal. The weather's been good, everybody's doing their best. It’s good to see everybody get back to work.
