Mother tells of her heartbreak

- NAOMI DESOUZA News Reporter

THE anguished family of a Birmingham man who disappeared four moths ago say they are living in constant fear for his safety.

Ali Durrani, 32, left his family home in Stirchley on February 5 after telling his mother he was going for his daily walk - but has not been seen since.

Aside from a CCTV sighting of Ali speaking to a woman at a city bus stop on February 6, there has been no trace of the economics graduate, and his family are growing more desperate for answers as the months pass.

"Ali told me he was going out for a walk, which he enjoyed doing to clear his head" said his mother, Mahjabeen Durrani, 56.

"He said, 'I'm going out, mummy,' and I didn't think anything of it. But he never came back."

Speaking 119 days after her nephew’s disappearance, Ali’s aunt, Naureen Mohammed, said: “It is so unlike him, he has been in contact with us every day of his life.
