Kabore at double for high fliers
-
RED-HOT Lawrence Shankland started the Hearts ascent onto cloud nine as strike partner Landry Kabore announced himself as a new Tynecastle hero.
Derek McInnes’ men thumped Dundee to surge nine points clear in the title race with a ninth win of the topflight season.
Fittingly with those numbers, it was their No.9 who set the ball rolling. But Kabore then took centre stage with a double before Tomas Magnusson completed the victory.
Jambos boss Derek McInnes reckons his side are getting stronger as they hit the targets he has set them to blaze a table-topping trail.
After the success which finished off the first round of fixtures, he said: “Delighted with it. We've been really smooth.
“A few weeks ago we set a challenge to the players to be above Celtic before we play them and then can we be at the top of the league after the first round of Premiership fixtures?
“So we've boxed off that little section and now we need to go again.
“So it's a good reference point for me in the sense that look what can be done.
