Gray says Togo striker will kick on after Ist goal

DAVID GRAY reckons record signing Thibault Klidje is finally ready to shine after putting Livingston to the sword.

Klidje opened the scoring after nine minutes thanks to his classy finish.

The Togo striker then won the penalty that led to Jamie McGrath doubling the hosts’ lead.

Supersub Junior Hoilett added gloss to the scoreline with his brace after climbing off the bench.

But Gray singled out Klidje in what was just his third start since making the £1.5million switch from Swiss outfit Luzern.

The Hibs boss said: “I'm delighted for Thibault, he’s had to be patient to get another start.

“He's been restricted to a few appearances coming off the bench, but he certainly took his chance.

“There will always be expectations. You can't do anything about what people pay for you and that's just the nature of the world at the moment.
