NEW DNA techniques could unlock the riddle of who killed a brave off-duty police officer nearly 35 years ago.

Detective Constable Jim Morrison was stabbed as he tried to arrest a man for a suspected bag theft.

For years his widow, Victoria, now 59, has struggled to come to terms with his murder late on December 13, 1991. But now cold case detectives are using "forensic advancements" to reexamine the case.
