JPR Oneis taken to get the better of his younger rival Kalif Du Berlais and win the Bet MGM Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter tomorrow for asecond successive year.

The Tizzard family hasalongassociation with the race, with JPR One's trainer Joe Tizzard winning it twice as ajockey for Paul Nicholls, on Lake Kariba and Flagship Uberalles in the late 1990s.
He then had to wait until 2012 before winning it for his father, Colin, on the brilliant Cue Card, with Tizzard senior winning it again through Eldorado Allen in 2021.
