NHS care laid on for asylum hotel dwellers
Scottish Daily Express
|July 11, 2025
MIGRANTS living in a London hotel are benefiting from free primary and secondary NHS care, while locals travel abroad for operations, we can reveal.
Mala Pawar, a British citizen with family in India, said long wait times mean she has no choice but to go to Asia to access medical treatment for an injury.
The 63-year-old blames a lack of government action and the growing population of Wembley, North London, where she runs the Abaci Collection clothing shop near a 400-room Holiday Inn currently housing asylum seekers.
She said: “NHS services are deteriorating fast. I don’t blame the staff, I blame the Government, and the number of people [using the NHS] which is increasing by the day.
Entitled
“If I have a pressing injury, I’ll try to book an appointment here, but it’s always a very long wait. It'll be weeks before someone sees me.”
