Moderator's moving welcome to new post

THE Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland has told of the “honour” of her new post.
The Right Reverend Rosemary Frew's appointment was announced on Saturday at the General Assembly.
She replaces the Very Reverend Dr James Shaw Paterson as head of the church.
Rev Frew will take a leave of absence from her position in the Bowden and Melrose parish in the Borders to take up the role for the next year.
She said: "When I watched my first General Assembly 'live' from what was the student gallery, way back in 1984, I never imagined I would be standing here.
