Man kicked and spat at officers after his arrest

AN ARRESTED man pretended to be in pain so that he could kick a police officer who went to help him.
Simeon Brown, from Nottingham, carried out two attacks on police officers after being arrested at a house in Melton.
Brown appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court to plead guilty to two charges of assault by beating of an emergency worker.
The court heard that the first attack had involved the 38-year-old spitting in the face of an officer as he was led to a police van after his arrest at a house in Stafford Street.
Gabrielle Orthodoxou, prosecuting, said: “On March 24, at around 5.30pm, officers attended an address in relation to a matter not before the court.
