COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER TO REMEMBER MUM AND DAUGHTER WHO DIED IN SEA TRAGEDY

A NOTTINGHAMSHIRE community continues to mourn the loss of two of its own after 15-year-old Grace Keeling and her mother, Sarah Keeling, 45, were swept out to sea last week.

Grace Keeling’s body has still not been found following the incident off the coast of Withernsea in East Yorkshire on Friday, January 2, which also claimed the life of passerby Mark Ratcliffe, 67, who bravely tried to pull the pair from the water to safety.

Pictures of the three were placed around the church hall at The Parish of St Mary Magdalene, in Church Avenue, Sutton-in-Ashfield on Saturday, where members of the local community, friends and family were invited to light a candle, say a prayer, and leave a tribute in a book of condolence.

Reverend Julie Cotterill was among those welcoming mourners, describing Grace as a “lovely young lady”.
