EX-NOTTS COUNTY YOUTH FOOTBALLER AMONG FOUR WHO CARRIED OUT THE ASSAULT
A GANG of friends “behaved like a pack of wolves” when they attacked a lone student in Nottingham city centre.
Shocking footage played at Nottingham Crown Court showed Jayden Gunter, Kiarne McLeary, Alfie Seagrave and Jaden Walters set on their young victim after being thrown out of a nightclub at 4am.
After kicking, punching and stamping on him, the group left him unconscious on the ground with one man on the clip seen to be laughing as they all walked away.
Judge Mark Watson said: “This was a disgusting piece of behaviour, a targeted attack on an innocent young man during which you behaved like a pack of wolves.
“Your group made a decision initially to walk away, and it is a shame you did not do that because what happened was you came back and as a group you kicked, punched and delivered at least one stamp to the head of the victim, which caused him to lose consciousness.
“Your group then calmly and simply walked off, leaving him lying in the street with no consciousness, waiting for others to come to his aid.”
Luc Chignell, prosecuting, said the attack took place outside the Fusion Sports Bar, in St James's Street, at about 4am on May 5, last year.
Following “a commotion” inside, everyone inside was ejected and started to spill out on to the street.
