80-bedroom care home planned for builder's compound site

Charterpoint is seeking planning permission from Gedling Borough Council for the 80-bed facility off Lambley Lane, at the junction with Colliery Way, on the site of a former builder's compound.

The building would be three storeys and would have its own hairdressing salon for residents.

Planning documents say residents and visitors would be greeted by a “warm and welcoming entrance foyer”, leading to a reception, café, activity room, multipurpose room and hairdresser.

All bedrooms on the first and second floors would have views over one of the communal gardens so residents can watch movements around the home.
