Forest fans ease minds on relaxing Trent walk

COMMUNITY TRUST EVENT ENCOURAGES 'HEALTH BY STEALTH'

NOTTINGHAM Forest fans are backing a “health by stealth” programme using a simple walk to open up discussion about one of the UK’s biggest problems.

Nottingham Forest Community Trust held its Walk For Wellbeing on Wednesday taking around 100 attendees on a walk around Victoria Embankment that ended with a lap around the City Ground pitch.

During the three or five-kilometre routes along the River Trent, walkers could have wellbeing chats and use support stations that provided access to mental health resources.

This included information about the trust's Tricky To Talk scheme - a programme in which spaces are provided for people to share their thoughts and feelings in a confidential and supportive environment.
