'Disgraceful' that police closed case against Uber driver accused of assault

A NOTTINGHAM family have expressed their concern after no further action was taken against an Uber driver who was involved in an altercation with two women.

Two Nottingham sisters aged 20 and 28 got in the vehicle on Angel Row in Nottingham city centre after a night out on March 23.

Once in the Uber, the 28-year-old told her younger sister she was feeling sick, with the 20-year-old advising her sister to put the window down.

The driver heard what they said, however, and allegedly told them “if you're going to get sick, get out of my car”. The man then allegedly started verbally abusing the two women, who wish to keep their identities private.
