Car thief jailed after four people injured in three-vehicle crash he caused

A RECKLESS car thief caused a horrific three-vehicle crash after speeding in the wrong direction on a busy Nottinghamshire road.

A high-speed chase began after police officers spotted a Ford Mondeo towing a van along Blyth Road, Worksop, at around 6.45pm on February 23.
Officers observed the two vehicles turning in the road at excessive speed and followed them. The Mondeo, which was later discovered to have been on false plates, and the van stolen, then stopped and the van was detached before the car sped off.
