VP Duterte’s lawyers confident of winning impeachment case
Manila Bulletin
|April 23, 2025
Vice President Sara Duterte said on Tuesday, April 22, her lawyers had told her that they were confident in winning the impeachment case that has been levelled against her before the Senate. The trial set to begin in July.

In an interview in Danao City, the official shared that she immediately held a meeting with her lawyers upon her arrival from The Hague, Netherlands, where she stayed for almost a month to help form her father former president Rodrigo Duterte’s defense team.
“Nung pag-uwi ko galing The Hague ay nag-meeting kami dahil isa din yun sa mga inaasikaso ko. At sinabil nila (When I returned from The Hague, I met with them because that’s one [of the things] I am fixing. They told me) they are more than confident in winning the impeachment trial--impeachment case,” she said.
