TWO matches this week for Macc 2nds as they took on Lindow in a T20 Cup match and then Alvanley in the league.
In Round 3 of the 2nd XI T20 cup, Macc batted first and got off to a rough start as they lost Jimi Tibbits and Raghav Vyas for ducks to stumble to 2-2.
A bright partnership between Leo Burns (21) and Jacob Tidswell (35) put on 45 runs to get Macc back on track but then they suffered another clatter of wickets to end up at 86-8 and in danger of not using all 20 overs whilst also being far from getting a score that would be competitive in the match.
Two late order partnerships between Barney Cutbill (20 not out) and Ewan Allabush, then Jack Kelly added critical runs.
When the side were all out in the 20th over, they'd scrambled up to 120, not a great score but something to bowl at.
