PROBE SHOULD STAND UP TO EXAMINATION

THERE is a fair bit of rain around this morning, and that could see good-to-firm ground turn something closer to soft if the numbers are right.

Only two of the runners have been successful in sprint handicaps when it has been yielding or soft.

Of that pair, the one who makes most appeal is 2023 runner-up PROBE (Nap) who missed last year but has shown his ability remains in a couple of runs this season.

Although well behind the reopposing Dark Thirty at Doncaster, he was one of a group of horses who raced on the stands side while Dark Thirty led on the opposite flank.
