After racing, Sandown clerk of the course Andrew Cooper confirmed the going on the chase track had already eased to good to soft, soft in places.

Frank Berry, racing manager for Jonbon's owner JP McManus, hopes conditions don't get too testing ahead of the perennial winner's hat-trick bid in the Betfair Tingle Creek Chase.
