Star to head back to Trim for film's 30th anniversary
HOLLYWOOD star Mel Gibson is set to return to Ireland next month to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of the acclaimed Braveheart film.
The actor will stay in Trim, Co Meath and sign posters in aid of the Irish Equity Benevolent Fund as part of the King John's Summer Prom Festival, which takes place in the historic town from Friday, August 8 to Sunday, August 10.
The iconic 1995 action flick filmed several scenes in the county, including at Trim Castle.
Mel will stay at an undisclosed private venue in the county with family members, according to event organiser Eric Lawlor.
