NANCY CONFIDENT HE AND HOOPS STARS WILL ADJUST IF GIVEN TIME
THERE'S an old saying in Glasgow: "A draw is a disaster and a defeat's a catastrophe." Wilfried Nancy is finding that out pretty quickly. But Celtic fans should maybe sit back and take a breath.
Losing a top-of-the-table clash isn't the end of the world. It happens.
Likewise, going down to a Serie A heavyweight is hardly unexpected.
Losing a cup final to St Mirren, though? That would be an entirely different story.
Nancy has raised eyebrows by ripping up Martin O'Neill's winning formula to implement his own philosophy during a hectic period in the campaign.
So far, it hasn't clicked.
But the Frenchman is convinced that given time an alien word in this part of the world he'll get it right.
He said: "Yes, for sure, it's a mix of everything, I am different in terms of the previous coach, we are all different.
"Players have to adjust regarding that. I also have to adjust regarding the players, and also change, not a lot of change, but a few changes, because we are all different.
"So yes, it takes time. When you try to learn something, it's difficult to catch it like that. I knew that before I signed and this is the adversity that I knew that I would face.
"Now what is good is with my group, we have open discussions regarding everything; the system, the way we play the way we attack, the way we defend, because I want them to feel good also regarding what we want to do.
"My job is not to arrive and say, 'This is how we're going to play, so we have to do this, and you shut your mouth'.
