JOHN MCGINN has smashed through the 80-mark and is heading for a ton - but he would swap all his caps to play for Scotland in a World Cup finals.
The Aston Villa midfielder made his 80th international appearance against Greece and followed that up in Sunday's narrow 2-1 qualifying win over Belarus.
McGinn now wants to follow in the footsteps of Kenny Dalglish and reach 100 appearances for the country.
Captain Andy Robertson could well beat him to it, as he sits on 88 caps and is just three behind second-placed Jim Leighton in the all-time caps list.
