Military chief: Be ready for Russian war

BRITAIN'S military commanders have said the country must be prepared to go to war if Russia invades a member of Nato.

Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton, the UK's most senior officer, wants to see the "whole nation stepping up" in the struggle against the Kremlin.

Sir Richard, Chief of the Defence Staff said: "The situation is more dangerous than I have known during my career and the response requires more than simply strengthening our Armed Forces.
