FREE TO ROME

SCOTLAND have been given a clean bill of health ahead of Saturday's Six Nations opener against Italy in Rome.

Glasgow pair Jack Dempsey and Jamie Dobie were two of the biggest injury worries.

No.8 Dempsey injured a foot in training and scrumhalf/winger Dobie has had a knee infection.

But last night assistant coach Lee Radford insisted they both were available for the trip to Rome.

He said: “Dobie has looked well. Both of them are in great form at the moment.

“They didn't participate last week - but the rest will have done them the world of good. Hopefully they'll be fresh for this weekend.

“All good, they trained today. Nobody's pulled out today so everybody that was initially named is ready to go.”
