THE UK will help allies intercept Russian shadow ships funding its war machine, the Foreign Secretary vowed yesterday.

UK forces assisted the US last month in the seizure of a Russialinked tanker, accused of breaching oil sanctions in Venezuela.

Yvette Cooper yesterday boarded a patrol vessel in Helsinki to meet members of the Finnish Border Guard who mount a frontline defence on the 830-mile Russian border.
