Tav and Co showed that Danny's boys are very much together for genuine tilt at this season's title
-
LET'S rewind to Sunday teatime at Pittodrie.
Take a look at the photographs of the Rangers celebrations after James Tavernier's penalty clinched a 2-0 win against Aberdeen.
Or, better still, study the live TV footage and tell me what you see.
Because I know exactly what it looks like from where I'm sitting. And it could have a big impact on what this group of players might achieve under Danny Rohl between now and May.
The look of joy on their faces says it all. There is a bond and a sense of togetherness which has probably been missing at Ibrox for one reason or another over most of the last few years.
And I know this because it's exactly what we hoped to bring back last season when myself, Neil McCann, Billy Dodds and Allan McGregor took charge of the team for those three months at the end of last season.
By the way, all the best to Wee Terry and Doddsy now they've returned to the dugout at Rugby Park. I'm thrilled for the pair of them because I know how much this opportunity means.
On the face of it, they've taken on a big task because of Kilmarnock's league position but that won't scare them one bit. Trust me on this, Killie are in excellent hands in their battle to beat the drop.
When we went into Auchenhowie back at the end of last February, we realised straight away the lads in that dressing room needed their spirits lifted. The whole staff did.
The place felt lower than a snake's belly and that was understandable for a number of reasons after turmoil off the pitch and disappointment on it.
Don't get me wrong. We took over a great bunch of boys.
But Rangers can be a difficult place to be when you're struggling for form and results.
