Hounds were left to starve, while one had untreated wound

- BY STEPHEN BARK

A MAN who abandoned two starving dogs in a filthy flat has been jailed for six months.

Animal welfare officers were called to Kalith Cameron's home in Aberdeen last May.

They found six-year-old American bulldog Diesel and a nine-month-old bull type puppy named Gucci living in squalid conditions.

The creatures were starving and in pain, and were later removed from the property.

Cameron was sentenced to six months in prison when he appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court this week, and disqualified from owning, holding, keeping or looking after any animal for three years.

The court heard Cameron had failed to provide timely veterinary treatment for an infection in Diesel's ear, resulting in an open wound.
