A pub has issued a statement after a man suffered serious injuries in a Christmas Eve assault.

The Broad Oak pub in Connah's Quay
The man was taken to hospital after a "serious assault" at The Broad Oak Pub, Connah's Quay.
Witnesses claimed a man was stabbed in the incident, however this has not been officially confirmed by police.
The force said a suspect was arrested in connection with the incident.
Following the incident, the pub issued a statement on Facebook.
