THE Princess of Wales showed resilience and respect for Britain's war heroes as she returned to public duty for the second day in a row for the Remembrance Day service.

Royals' show of resilience for the fallen

Kate, 42, appeared deeply moved as she watched the service led by husband William and the King, who has also resumed duties amid his own cancer treatment.

Having joined fellow senior royals for the annual British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall the night before, she stood yesterday morning on the central balcony of the Foreign Office overlooking Whitehall.

There she seemed overcome by emotion watching the King lay the first wreath at the Cenotaph after the two-minute silence.

imageKate wore a black bespoke Catherine Walker coat dress, a veiled hat and her traditional three poppies to honour her great-grandmother's brothers who lost their lives in the First World War.
