Rosenior proves a class act as he shakes off memes

- BY STEVE JUDGE

AFTER a week in which Liam Rosenior was likened to David Brent and The Inbetweeners’ Will McKenzie, Joao Pedro's verdict on his new boss was: “He’s electric.”

Online trolls have had a field day with documentary footage of Rosenior during his time at Chelsea owners BlueCo's other club, Strasbourg.

A soundbite of Rosenior claiming the role of a manager is to “age men’, because split in two it becomes “man ager” did the damage.

Memes labelling the Blues boss a football version of Ricky Gervais’ fame-hungry middle manager from a Slough stationery firm (above) went viral.

But according to Pedro, Rosenior (right) is hungry for something else.

He wants Chelsea to play like Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton - possession obsessed, high intensity and brave in building from the back.

That should suit former Seagulls Pedro, Moises Caicedo, Robert Sanchez and Levi Colwill, who all played under De Zerbi.
