Knife crime alert by MP after nephew stabbed for being in wrong postcode

AN MP whose nephew was stabbed for being in the wrong area of a city has told how her family and other residents are now scared.

Paulette Hamilton, Labour MP for Erdington in Birmingham, said: “Coming home from his Saturday job, he was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. It nearly cost him his life. He was asked, ‘What are you doing around here?’ He was in an area they thought he shouldn’t have been in.”
