Parcel farce! Problems with deliveries hit a five-year high

THE number of customers reporting problems with parcel deliveries is at its highest point in five years, Citizens Advice has warned.

Figures suggest around 15 million people - 37% of parcel users - had an issue with their most recent delivery, a poll for the charity found.

Complaints included drivers leaving before people reached the door (29%), parcels being left in unsafe spots (24%) and late arrivals (24%).

The charity is calling on the regulator Ofcom to monitor performance more closely and fine the worst offenders. Chief executive Dame Clare Moriarty said: "Ofcom has passed the parcel of responsibility for long enough.
