APPARENTLY, there’s yet another new bunch of contestants tonight on MASTERCHEF (BBC1, 8pm).

This latest lot, we're told, will be doing things with hazelnuts and cod, among other stuff. They'll also be given “a mystery box containing three different types of pastry: filo, shortcrust and puff.”
And what are they meant to do with those? No idea. It’s a mystery.
Yes, sorry to sound so vague, but the BBC no longer lets us see previews of MasterChef episodes - I wonder why - so other than those measly morsels of information I’ve been able to unearth, your guess is as good as mine, content-wise.
But then maybe you don't give two hoots any longer.
