Report: PHL property sector has 'strategic pockets of growth'

DESPITE rising global uncertainties, the Philippine property market is expected to remain steady, supported by domestic demand and ongoing infrastructure development.

Real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield Philippines said the local property sector continues to show “strategic pockets of growth” even as geopolitical tensions raise concerns over higher construction and operating costs.

“The recent geopolitical developments in the Middle East, particularly concerning energy transit routes, have introduced new inflationary pressures globally. While this may influence local construction and operational costs, the Philippine real estate sector’s strong fundamentals provide a substantial buffer for long-term investments,” said Claro Cordero Jr., director and head of research at Cushman & Wakefield Philippines.
