Court Violent man strangled partner after argument

A VIOLENT man from Bristol assaulted and strangled his partner after he attended the Glastonbury Festival to confront her after they had an argument.

He also left her a message, telling her he wished she “died a slow and painful death”.

Stuart Mountjoy, 49, of Beaufort Road, had an argument with his partner on July 26, during which she told him she did not want to spend time with him. She attended the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset the next day, but the defendant also attended to speak to the victim and another argument broke out.
