FORMER Coronation Street star Vicky Entwistle from Accrington has expressed her joy at returning to theatre in a production in Blackpool called Living the Life of Riley.

Ex-Corrie star Vicky revels in new theatre role

Best remembered for her portrayal of Janice Battersby, Vicky highlighted the fulfilling nature of her latest acting venture, stating she would be content if this were her final role.

She commented: “Often you take a job that hurts, for the money... Rarely do you find a job that enriches you. This piece is so beautiful. If it's the last thing I do I'll be happy.”

The actress appears in the much-praised family drama alongside Leah Bell, Paul Dunn, and Alison Stanley. After receiving top marks at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the play is now being performed across the UK.
