David Stirling has spent more than a year rotting away in an Italian prisoner-of-war camp, but he finally gets a chance to make a break for it in a gripping climax to the second season of SAS Rogue Heroes.

As this week's finale begins, the British troops being held at Forte di Gavi hear that the Italian government has fallen following the Allied invasion led by Stirling's comrades in the SAS.
