Sustainability in Tech: The Industry's Push Toward Zero-Carbon Manufacturing by 2030
Bisinfotech
|May 2025
Renewable energy is central to Delta's carbon reduction strategy across the tech supply chain.
-

The tech industry is accelerating efforts to achieve zero-carbon manufacturing by 2030, driven by mounting regulatory pressure, investor expectations, and consumer demand for greener products. Leading companies are adopting renewable energy, circular economy principles, and carbon-neutral supply chains to cut emissions across operations. Semiconductor fabs, traditionally energy-intensive, are investing in advanced water recycling, low-emission materials, and solar-powered facilities. Major players like Intel, Apple, and TSMC have pledged net-zero targets and are collaborating with suppliers to decarbonize production processes. Additionally, innovations in Gallium Nitride (GaN) and energy-efficient AI hardware are enabling more sustainable end products. Governments are also stepping in with incentives and carbon pricing to drive greener practices. As environmental responsibility becomes a competitive differentiator, the race toward zero-carbon is no longer optional—it's a strategic imperative shaping the future of tech manufacturing.
Discussing the same issue, Abdullah partook in an in-depth dialog with a number of the industry's acclaimed specialist, such as, Rachna Kango, Senior Director, ESG and Strategic Marketing, Delta Electronics; Rajesh Patel, Ceo and Chairman, Snowkap; Jean-Louis Champseix, Group Vice President, Corporate Sustainability, STMicroelectronics.
